The UGLY Watch Co. is proud to introduce our first GMT. The 100m GMT Sport Diver. This timepiece combines The UGLY Watch Co’s distinctive design, distinguished by refined and robust features, with a new complication standing for technical innovation, the GMT function.
The 100m GMT Sport Diver keeps the brand's most distinguishing characteristics while adding momentous new features including the NH34 GMT Automatic movement, a re-imagining of the classic GMT watches, is influenced by the earliest sports watches from the 1950s and 60s while adding a little pop of color.
The UGLY Watch Co. will be able to extend our horizons with a sportier style of the 100m GMT Sport Diver that will certainly become one of the must-haves for 2023 thanks to the GMT function, which has established itself as a benchmark in terms of horological complications.
The idea doesn't need to be explained. Utilizing a unidirectional rotating bezel, the 100m GMT uses a center hand with a cuneate point to represent the reference time (home time) when traveling, on a scale of 24 hours.
All of this is in addition to the standard hour and minute display for the location where we are (local time).
The Bezel: The 100m GMT Sport Diver With a 316L Stainless Steel COG style 120 click one directional bezel and aluminum 24hr bezel insert. With crisp clean clicks and no back play, this GMT watch is ready to travel. Utilizing BGW9 Lume on the hour markers and hands illuminate the mesmerizing mother of pearl dials.
The Dials: The 100m GMT Sport Diver offers Three Mother of Pearl Dial colors to choose from (Red, White, or Blue). Mother of pearl is the iridescent lining you find on the inside of a shell. Nacre, another name for mother-of-pearl, is in fact a blend of minerals including calcium carbonate secreted by oysters and molluscs to protect their homes from parasites and foreign objects. If a foreign object makes its way into the shell, the mollusc secretes layer upon layer of nacre, eventually producing a pearl.
The Crystal: Sapphire glass on the 100m GMT Sport Diver, is made synthetically and is actually considered a glass not a crystal. The sapphire crystal is made in very high temperatures and is made up from crystalline aluminum oxides. These are then cut with diamond saws, grind-ed and polished to the finished “glass” product. Sapphire crystal is 8-9 on the Mohs scale, being nearly un-scratchable.

The Case: The 100m GMT Sport Diver case is a little different than the ordinary, at 42 mm we believe it’s the perfect size and with the turned down lugs fits like a 40mm or 41mm. All crafted from 316L Stainless Steel. With an exceptionally high quality Stainless steel jubilee bracelet that fits perfectly with the case design. Utilizing screw in construction to secure the links, three micro adjustments and double lock on the milled diver signed clasp, you will know this bracelet is not going anywhere once you attach it to your wrist.
The Bracelet: The Jubilee style bracelet on the 100m GMT Sport Diver is made of solid 316L stainless steel. Screw-in adjustable construction instead of pressure pins to keep it solid and stable. With its 22mm width tapered down to 20mm at the clasp. This solid Jubilee watch bracelet with solid end links is accompanied by a fully milled diver clasp with double lock and three micro adjustments.
The Movement: The NH34 movement that powers the 100m GMT Sport Diver is quite homogeneous to the NH35 in composition and appearance. NH34 and NH35 are both 27.40mm in diameter (29.36mm with casing) and 5.32mm thick. Both sport 24 jewels for durability, and operate at 21,600hz. Power reserve also rest at around 41 hours.
